I’m often looking for distraction. Watching a series or going out. It’s a way to avoid difficult feelings. Sometimes it helps to move your attention to a different level. Standing still and zooming in on a tiny detail, to make you feel your heartbeat. Giving attention to something small and fragile. I’ve noticed that the textures of plants can have the same kind of detail as the textures of the sound of my music. The subtle overtones of my piano, remind me of the tiny hairs you can find on the stems of plants. The soft fur on some leaves makes me forget to search for thrills.
