In the Greek language, ‘Charis’ means kindness, grace, and life. One day recently, after seeing emotional footage of a musician affected by recent events in Ukraine, I sat down at the piano, placed my hands on the keys, processing my own feelings… And as the notes began to flow, I realized that one thing in our control is the ability to share the act of kindness… To bring light to the darkness, clarity to the overwhelm. I think one of the most powerful things we can all take away from these past two years and present events is the beauty of the simple gift of kindness, whether it be in gesture, the words we speak, or the music we share.
